Finger Lakes Textiles Expands!
Finger Lakes Textiles held its official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the newly expanded Finger Lakes Textile manufacturing facility. The ceremony took place on September 18th at 1:00 pm at Finger Lakes Textiles located at 1885 Danaren Drive in Waterloo.
Significant funding for this project was provided by Governor Cuomo’s Nonprofit Infrastructure Investment Program, Finger Lakes Regional Development Council, Empire State Development Corporation. Major support was also provided by the Allyn Family Foundation, Fred L. Emerson, Golisano Foundation, Stanley W. Metcalf and J.M. McDonald Foundation. Locally Relph Benefit Advisors, Community Bank, N.A., Lyons National Bank, Five Star Bank, Cayuga Lake Bank, Chemung Canal Trust, One Group and Seneca Meadows were generous supports along with individual donators. Together we raised over $900,000, which not only paid for all of the construction costs but also went toward the acquisition of three new digital manufacturing machines. The continuous contributions have set us on a path toward an exciting future.
Finger Lakes Textiles employs over 100 members of our community. It is a workforce that includes 60 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is also the home manufacturing facility for Arctic Gear!
We cannot wait to see what our future holds!
