Arctic Gear is the Arc of Seneca Cayuga's new textile product line. The production of Arctic Gear's headwear collection will not only create additional jobs for people with disabilities, but also provide the funds needed for the organization to give vital services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Arc of Seneca Cayuga has embraced this opportunity because of obstacles they endured in the past. The Arctic Gear brand comes at a time when the needs for these services are growing.
With 100% of profits from Arctic Gear going back to the organization, the Arc agency can continue their Rural Autism Initiative (RAI). This provides a full range of services, such as local diagnostic testing at an early age, customized behavioral intervention for the family, and ongoing individualized support to ensure family stability.
Our profits will also support Camp Columbus - Arc of Seneca Cayuga's all ages summer camp on Owasco Lake. All campers, regardless of income status, can continue to enjoy waterfront activities, field sports, arts and crafts, making memories, and more.
Spotlight Studio, the organization's performing arts and creative center, will be able to expand its classes. This allows more people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience the creative arts.
Mission: Arc of Seneca Cayuga embraces diversity by recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and by working to ensure the success of people with disabilities as they pursue lives of choice and fulfillment.
